Bucharest, July 24, 2026 – Electro-Alfa International (BVB: EAI), a leading Romanian manufacturer of electrical equipment and provider of EPC and IT services, listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, announces the start of construction on the CET 2 Holboca photovoltaic plant, in Iasi. The project, worth RON 34.6mn, excluding VAT, aims to reconfigure an area with industrial history in the municipality of Iasi into a green energy production unit.

The installed capacity of the CET 2 Holboca photovoltaic plant will be 9,801 kWp and includes the installation of over 13,000 photovoltaic panels of 750 Wp. The new photovoltaic park will generate an average production of electricity from renewable sources of 9,849 MWh/year and will occupy an area of ​​approximately 75,000 sq m in the area of ​​the former CET 2 Holboca coal depot.

The photovoltaic power plant will consist of an assembly of high-efficiency photovoltaic panels, on-grid inverters for converting electrical energy, protection, control and measurement equipment, three electrical transformer stations including works in the high-voltage substation for connection to the electrical grid, monitoring and control systems (SCADA), as well as the entire auxiliary infrastructure necessary for the complete integration and safe operation of the installation within the distribution network. The photovoltaic project is to be completed in the next 9 months by Electro-Alfa International through the Green Energy Business Division, as leader, in association with CRC Energy, according to the execution contract signed with Iasi City Hall.

The Green Energy Business Division of Electro-Alfa International offers integrated EPC solutions for the construction of photovoltaic parks, from the development, design, construction, operation, and maintenance stages. The division's portfolio includes photovoltaic parks built for both private and public sector partners. Electro-Alfa International currently has 5 photovoltaic parks under construction, in Bucharest, Alba, Bihor, Hunedoara and Iasi counties.

The event announcing the start of works on the CET 2 Holboca photovoltaic park took place on July 23 in Iasi, at CET 2 Holboca.
