ELECTROALFA and SGB-SMIT Group inaugurate the SGB-ELECTROALFA Factory in Botoșani, Romania, for the production of Distribution Transformers.

ELECTROALFA, one of Romania's largest players in the electrical equipment industry, announces the construction of a new production facility in Botoșani, Romania, under the name SGB-ELECTROALFA Factory. This initiative is the result of a strategic collaboration with the renowned German manufacturer SGB-SMIT Group, a leader in the production of electrical transformers.

The SGB-ELECTROALFA Factory will make its first deliveries in 2025 and will serve as a bridge between ELECTROALFA and clients across Europe, including Romania. This new production unit will strengthen the position of both ELECTROALFA and SGB-SMIT Group in the domestic and international markets, providing superior quality products in the 50-1000 kVA oil-filled distribution transformer segment.

SGB-SMIT Group, with a remarkable presence in the European electrical transformer market, brings professionalism, technological experience, and a constant commitment to excellence to this collaboration. The new factory will operate as a joint venture, aiming to offer advanced and sustainable solutions in the distribution transformer market.
